Hi

I'm curious about your thoughts on a brown and black dial. I'm trying to decide on which to get. If you've thought through which looks better, please do share your thoughts. My preference is brown dial since it looks very classy, but someone told me that it can be hard to read in sunlight. Is that true?

Thanks,
sgb

I don't find the brown dials hard to read in sunlight, but maybe harder than black. I guess it could depend on the lume color as well. I've seen Titanium with Tobacco dial and it isn't hard to read in the sun... but other brown dials maybe.

I have a 118 with tobacco dial.
This dial isn't hard to read in sunlight.
For me, tobacco or brown dial are just very beautiful and the best choice for a pannie...

I have examples of both dial colours and if i had to choose just one it would be brown. With a gold hand-set it looks warmer, classy and rich. Black is great too of course but ordinary in comparison.

Its possible that the OP was referring to reflections on Gold hands on a brown dial making it hard to read..? I have a Breitling Datora that has silver hands that are VERY shiny and the hands can disappear in the right light.
