Its all personal preference I think. If you want to spend the extra to get the manufacture movements, then do that. Just remember servicing will be more expensive, and you are paying for something that is unique and in reality, less proven. The 210 can be fixed by anyone, and has been there for years, but is a very common base movement that some will find boring.

I think you need to weigh what is important to you and make the right choice for you.

For me, I would probably get the manufacture movement because I have many watches and I already have a 183. However, the 210 is a beautiful, clean and simple watch. I would be happy to have one.

Personally i prefer the larger 210 which is sadly discontinued now. I like that it is easier to maintain and by any competent watchmaker.

There's nothing wrong of course with the new 42mm models but they would be smaller than i would like.

I have a 183, and I really like it. Its got a certain simplicity about it, and the simpler movement projects that feeling for me.

If you like an automatic movement, its great. It really has to do with which watch speaks to you personally since you will be the one wearing it.

I like both, so I have both.
