I have the basic ETA movement in my PAM and it keeps excellent time. The movement's been around forever and it works flawlessly. Is it as sexy as the manufacture movements? No. Can any decent watchmaker work on it ten, twenty, thirty years from now? yes.

I would also like to shoot for the PAM 320 this summer, but I want to know about any reliability issues with P9000 movement. I visited the La Jolla, CA boutique two weeks ago and they can fix any ETA based movement right there in the shop. If it is a manufacture movement, then Panerai wants the watch sent back to them. Just a heads up.

Any issues with the P9000?

I have both, ETA in my zero m and P9000 in my 312 n and 305 o, never had an issue with either so far. As for keeping time, I wear my zero everyday to work (wind it most days), alternate my 312 & 305 in the evenings and weekends, they keep perfect time. It's nice to see them in my box all displaying the same time :D . All I need now is a Radiomir.

Not been here for a while, but my 0.01p worth... The eta movement in my 250 daylight has been perfect, compared to the in-house movement in a 312 which has been rubbish. Been back Panerai four times... It gains time so fast I'm already packing up at lunchtime...and every few days the date sticks and I end being 48 hours late for everything... It's now way out of warranty and Panerai won't touch it - August 09 PAM 312, bought new... I have a 305 sub and a 111 and they're okay. Can't bring myself to bin the 312 as I really like it!

Yeah, the 9000 series movements have had quite a few complaints, especially given the limited production. I have been lucky with mine (knock on wood)...
