Hi!
I'v got a pam005 in need of repair. I havent had it looked at by an expert (not available localy), but a friend (hobby watchfreak) sugested to just have the movement replaced by a standard 6497-2? in wait for the repair. Is this even possible, will the hands, case, dial and movement even fit? Im a wee bit sceptical about the whole thing, but than again, the unitas/eta is known to be a solid movement right?

Thanks for a grate forum btw.

I would be very careful where you get that watch repaired. Find a reputable watch repair place and take it there. Don't just replace it with a standard Unitas movement, even though that's essentially what is in there. Give your Panerai some respect and dignify it with a proper repair!
