hi,

I recently bought a PAM 312!
I noticed there are letters in front of each edition L####/2500 or P####/3500.

what does the differing letters represent?

The letters are the year indicator, I believe this year is "P" so 2012 was "O". The numbers following the letter are the number of your watch followed by the total number made that year. Have a look here
