Apologies if this post is basically echoing many others, but I have decided to take the plunge and buy my 1st Panerai, at the moment I have my heart set on a 104, I love the simplicity and at approx. GBP 5K would suit my budget I have listed my requirements below and would welcome any input from other members though as there are a plethora of choices available that so I am open to suggestions.

As above budget is roughly £5K

I love the simplicity of the face of the 104 and the fish eye date window

Do the modern 104's hold there value or should I look for an older model?

I am 6ft 2 ins but have very small hands at 44mm will the face look to big? should I look at a 40mm model?

Can anyone recommend a reputable dealer should I go down the second hand route?

Can anyone recommend another model that is similar in looks to the 104 but has a better more sort after movement?

Many thanks for your patience if you have read this far and any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Kind regards

Jon

The PAM104 has been made for a long time. I would probably recommend going with a PAM312 or something like that with the in-house movements in it.
